Die kroatische Dramaturgin und Autorin Jasna Žmak hat ihre Liebe zum Theater verloren. 2011 wurde sie als Zuschauerin während einer Vorstellung gebeten, aus dem Publikum eine Theaterwaffe abzufeuern – seitdem lebt sie mit Tinnitus und Hyperakusis. Heute sagt sie: »Art is really fucked up. And art really fucked me up.« Nun wagt sich Jasna zum ersten Mal selbst auf die Bühne – obviously mit einer Waffe in der Hand. In einer smarten, (selbst-)ironischen Solo-Performance rechnet sie mit dem patriarchalen Theatersystem ab, und klärt über den weiblichen Orgasmus auf. Am Ende von der mitreißenden Show zwischen Stand-Up-Comedy und Lecture Performance stellt sich die Frage: Ist diese Beziehung zum Theater vielleicht doch eher ein Love-Hate-Relationship?
THIS IS MY TRUTH, TELL ME YOURS wurde zu zahlreichen Festivals im Südosteuropa eingeladen und kommt zum ersten Mal nach Deutschland, zum BRITNEY.

Croatian playwright and author Jasna Žmak has lost her love for theatre. In 2011, while watching a performance, she was asked to fire a theatre weapon from the audience – since then she has been living with tinnitus and hyperacusis. Today she says: ‘Art is really fucked up. And art really fucked me up.’ Now, for the first time, Jasna is venturing onto the stage herself – obviously with a weapon in her hand. In a (self-)deprecating solo performance, she settles scores with the patriarchal theatre system and explains the female orgasm. At the end of this rousing show, which is part stand-up comedy and part lecture performance, the question arises: is this relationship with theatre perhaps more of a love-hate relationship after all?
THIS IS MY TRUTH, TELL ME YOURS has been invited to numerous festivals in Southeast Europe and is coming to Germany for the first time, to BRITNEY.

Jasna Jasna Žmak
Jasna Jasna Žmak ist eine Schriftstellerin, Dramaturgin, Recherchistin und Psychodramatikerin aus Zagreb, Kroatien und ist in den Bereichen Performance, Tanz, Literatur und Film tätig. Sie unterrichtet am Institut für Dramaturgie an der Akademie für Darstellende Kunst in Zagreb und in Bachelor- und Masterstudiengängen über Performance-Dramaturgie. Sie promovierte an der Fakultät für Sozial- und Geisteswissenschaften der Universität Zagreb zum Thema »Lecture Performance«. Sie schreibt Performance-Texte, Kurzgeschichten, Rezensionen, Forschungsarbeiten, Essays und Bilderbücher. Sie hat mehrere Bücher veröffentlicht, darunter die Studie LECTURE AS PERFORMANCE, PERFORMANCE AS LECTURE – ON THE PRODUCTION OF KNOWLEDGE IN THE ARTS und den Essayband DIRTY WORDS – ESSAYS ON FEMALE SEXUALITY. Sie hat mehrere Workshops zu den Themen Schreiben, Feminismus, Dramaturgie und Psychodrama organisiert und betreut. Sie liebt es, mit Sprache zu spielen, und glaubt: Intersektionaler Feminismus ist die Zukunft.

Jasna Jasna Žmak
Jasna Jasna Žmak is a writer, dramaturg, researcher and psychodramatist from Zagreb, Croatia, working in the fields of performance, dance, literature and film. She is associate professor at the Department of Dramaturgy at the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb, teaching BA and MA courses on performance dramaturgy. She holds a PhD from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of the University of Zagreb, graduating with the theme of lecture performance. She writes performance texts, short stories, reviews, research papers, essays, and picture books. She has published several books, including the study "Lecture as Performance, Performance as Lecture – on the Production of Knowledge in the Arts" (Leykam International, 2019) and a book of essays "Dirty Words – Essays on Female Sexuality" (Fraktura, 2020). She has organized and/or mentored several workshops about writing, feminism, dramaturgy and psychodrama. She loves playing around with language and believes intersectional feminism is the future.
